This is a wonderful headset. Works great. No one I talk to can hear any background noise. Great technology and application.

Love it. I don't like the small ear pieces and this is perfect for me. Sound quality is great for the other end caller as well.

Everything you read on this page about sound quality is true: it's truly phenomenal. The video on the Cobra website is NOT faked; the noise cancellation is really that good. I can drive my convertible with the top down at 60 MPH and both ends of the conversation are amazingly clear. The suppression of the noise from my end (wind, radio, engine, etc.) is so good, I think they must be using alien technology (who knows what's really in Area 51?). I've switched between handset (iPhone) and headset on several calls, and all the callers tell me the sound is way better with the headset. I've left voicemails for myself to hear it first hand, and it's true. Also, there is more than enough volume at my end. I have about a dozen other Bluetooth headsets in my desk drawer and none of them come close to this sound quality.
So, what's the flaw? Apparently in an attempt to stretch the more-than-adequate battery life, Cobra has built in an auto-shutoff feature that will power down the headset if the connection to the phone is broken for more than 10 minutes. I've tested this with a stopwatch several times, and it's always exactly ten minutes after the phone is moved out of range that the headset powers down. In the car this is a non-issue, but at work I often leave the headset on my desk while I keep the phone in my pocket. If I'm not back to my desk in ten minutes, I have to turn the headset back on again. If they would just make this timeout interval longer (or make it go away completely), this thing would score 6 stars!

I have owned several Blue Tooth devices, and am still looking for the perfect one. This device gave me high hopes, but they were quickly dashed. I drive a semi for a living and was very excited about the advertised noise reduction qualities of this device. To the Cobra's credit the noise reduction IS outstanding! Everyone I talk to claims to be able to hear me perfectly without the hint of background noise. Great, Right? It would be if I could understand what they were saying to me in return. Though the noise cancellation properties are everything they suggest, the fact that I cannot make out what anyone is saying in return completely changes this from rave reviews to completely disappointed. Just wanted to put my two cents out there to help everyone make an informed decision.

Excellent Noise Cancelling Aug 10, 2009
I recently purchased this product. It was a great buy. When i received the product i was impressed with the multiple charging items. The ability to charge the headset using either a wall socket, car d/c power, or a computer's usb port is fantastic! Also this is the most comfortable headset I have ever owned! Pairing it with both my personal and work phones was easy! I can even use it with my Nextel's push to talk feature! The sound quaility is excellent! Also even around the diesel engines of the vehicles that I drive i could hear very clearly as could the people I was talking with!
I have tried several headsets in the past and have been very disappointed! This is so far the best bluetooth headset I have ever owned! It fits perfectly and I do not have to place anything inside or over my ear! I suggest that you try this headset for yourself. It may look unsightly but the microphone is very adjustable and it aids in the other party hearing you very clearly!
In all, this headset is easily the best buy out there in my opinion!
